Joe Young was previously the Executive Director of Disability Rights New Jersey. Before his retirement, he represented people with disabilities exclusively since 1979 when he joined the Community Health Law Project. He also served as Deputy Director of the Division Advocacy for the Developmentally Disabled in the Department of the Public Advocate until the Department was abolished. Joe received his law degree from Rutgers-Newark Law School. He appeared in administrative, trial, and appellant courts, including the New Jersey Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
