How Can I Help?
There are many ways you can help PLAN/NJ.
PLAN/NJ can always use volunteers. Why not consider donating your time and expertise to the organization?
PLAN/NJ is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation. As such we accept tax deductible donations of any size. You may elect how you would like your donation to be used.
The easiest way to help? Tell your friends and family about us. The more people who know about our services, the more families we are able to assist.
OUTREACH & DEVELOPMENT
Money given directly to PLAN/NJ will be used to continue our mission of education. There are thousands of families in New Jersey, who have a member with a disability and they need to know about the importance of creating a special needs trust. Your donations will support our seminars, newsletters, mailings, and staff. Donating to PLAN/NJ ensures that families will continue to be served now and in the future.
CHARITABLE TRUST
The PLAN/NJ Charitable Trust was established to help people with disabilities that do not have a Special Needs Trust in place. Donations can provide numerous types of supplemental assistance including advocacy, companionship, travel, appliances, birthday gifts and others. One of the most rewarding features of giving to the Charitable Trust is that donations go directly to your neighbors, because PLAN/NJ serves only New Jersey residents.
ENDOWMENT
An endowment is a bequest or gift in which the interest earned provides an income for an institution. Endowments allow PLAN/NJ to build up a sum of money which will be used to supplement the organization's operational income and build financial strength. An endowment may be given in one or more of the following ways:
Give cash or other assets now or later.
Make a bequest on your death, by designating PLAN/NJ in your Will.
Name PLAN/NJ as a residual beneficiary of trusts.
Donate real estate which PLAN/NJ can then sell and add the proceeds to the fund.
Designate PLAN/NJ to receive insurance proceeds or retirement benefits.
